Lisa Stringfield | Co-Founder, With Honors Archives
Lisa brings 11 years of experience in librarianship, archival preservation, and digital collections management to With Honor Archives. She is currently completing her Master of Library Science at the University of North Texas and holds a B.A. in Art History from Willamette University as well as a Library Media Assistant Certificate from Portland Community College. Her training includes project management, audiovisual assessment, accessibility, and digital preservation, equipping her with the specialized skills needed to safeguard delicate and meaningful collections.
Lisa’s professional career reflects both leadership and dedication to preservation. She managed CONTENTdm as the digital repository for the National Forest Service Library, trained staff and technicians in metadata capture, and coordinated national digitization initiatives. Her expertise has been recognized through USDA Certificates of Appreciation and Merit, as well as opportunities to present at national conferences and webinars. Notably, she led the preparation, digitization, and archival housing of over 1,000 fragile glass plate negatives for Willamette University’s Paulus Collection.
What sets Lisa apart is her understanding that preservation is not only technical but deeply personal. With Honors Archives reflects this belief: that each medal, letter, or photograph of military service carries both pride and memory, and deserves to be preserved with compassion and care.
